One Purposeful Life

Today I cried for my friends because their hearts were broken. I could feel their pain, see their grief and I knew the place they were in. I knew only because I was there in that place 6 years before and just 2 years earlier. No, I am not them and they will need to figure out what they need to do to care for themselves through this time. Situations, personalities, events and lives my differ but human pain of loss is the same though we all may handle it differently. My thoughts would rush back and forth in present time then to my mom's funeral. Losing someone can rip you up and take you on an endless roller coaster ride. Then when you are sure that you will never get off... all of a sudden the ride starts to slow down as though you are riding in a car and gentle places you near a curb right near where you started. Yet you are changed. You are not the same person you were before you started but better from when you were on the ride.

I went to the funeral. When you are there and seeing them hurt you want so much to have the right words and do the right things to help them heal and yet I could come up with nothing to say and nothing to do that would help. We tend to say and do the same things others have done and said to us even when they really never worked for us either. I think that is because none of us really want to think about our lives ending or that of our families lives ending unless you have had to at some point in your life forcefully dealt with the loss of a loved one. To my friends I just want to say that you are your fathers/grandfathers legacy and to live your life full of purpose, truth and love will only make your fathers/grandfathers live on through you. We have no control over life and death only God in his wisdom can give those answers when its your turn to meet him but for now live the life that God has designed for you. Let God lead you and guide you to dream again (God like dreams) and let that passion pour out of you. This is how you honor your loved ones and this is how you honor God. My prayers are with you and your family.

I firmly believe that there is purpose and inspiration in life at every corner and this funeral was no exception. I was inspired by a man I only met for a short time but I feel I have known for years because of his daughter. When I met Fred I was amazed at his life. He led a good life. He had the american dream his wife, kids and house. He lived well and like riding motorcycles. Though ALS took away a lot of his independents it didn't take away his will and sence of adventure. He could have ended his life long before now but he kept going. I am sure that there were those days where he considered it because he would not have been human if he hadn't. Instead he knew what he wanted and what made him happy. I walked around his large garden on his property and saw purpose, inspiration, creativity and life everywhere we walked. He did it with the help of his children and grandchildren but it was him that inspired such beauty. Can you imagine a man that most would feel bad for when passed on the street bringing such life and purpose? I think the thing I loved most about him was that after he made this most beautiful garden he took time each day to enjoy the fruits of his labor. The picture in which the family used of him was him sitting in his wheelchair with the shutters open looking out over this sea of beauty and I could only think of God in the book of Genesis where on the seventh day he rested. Fred I am glad you are at full rest now and thank you for your inspiration. Every time I think I can't do something I will think of you and pursue it with more passion.

God's Good Work In Me

Philippians 1:6 NLT

And I am certain that God, who began a good work in me, will continue his work until it is finished on the day when Christ Jesus returns.

There is Purpose

There is a purpose to everything in life and timing to go along with it. What is your purpose in life? While the main purpose of being is to glorify God, we all still are here with an individual purpose. Something that God has called us to do that only you can do in your own unique way. Have you found that thing that makes your heart beat an extra beat. What do you have to offer God and the world he created?

Though most of us think of ourselves as little more than ants on an ant hill in a vast universe. We are more than that we are purposed for more. We have influence. We are able to make differences in peoples lives. When we are doing the purpose that God has planned for us... we have God's favor. Look at Daniel in the Lions den. Daniel had favor every step of the journey but why because he had a purpose that God wanted him to fulfil and in doing that God's favor backed him up along the way.

Bible verse: Proverbs 12:21
Many plans are in a mans heart, but it is the Lord's purpose that prevails.

Happiness Part 2

What makes you happy?

Happiness Part 1

I believe happiness is a state of mind. It is a feeling that goes along with lifestyle, family dynamitics, enviroment and our relationship with God.

Bible Verse:

Nehemiah 8:10

Nehemiah said, "Go and enjoy choice fruit and sweet drink, and send some of those who have nothing prepared. This day is scared to our Lord. Do not grieve, for the joy of the Lord is your strength."

Every one has their own idea of what happiness is to them and the happiness can only get better if we improve ourselves.

9-11 American Courage Never Forgotten

If you are an American or anywhere near a TV on that day when images burned deep inside and we glued ourselves to the TV waiting, hoping, praying and maybe right there in middle of this malignant scene. Our hearts hurt along with them, fear instantly filled us and our lifes became uncertain. Everything changed that day. People paniced with the unknown.
Everyone has a story as to what they were doing because no one who watched could not feel instantly that this could have been me, my family or my friends. These were Americans and they were our sisters, our brothers and follow member of a family called American.
Courage is the face of American on that day. The humanity, compassion and brave men and women that helped each other survive then live on to tell their stories. This is the America that I am proud to be apart of. We have forgotten how far we have come, our strength and relentless pursuite to triumph. If you have looked in the mirror and still not seen what I am talking about then look in your childs eyes and try and recapure that hope again. In their eyes we can see the future alittle clearer than before.
Joshua 1:17 NIV
Be strong and very couragous. Be careful to obey all servant Moses gave you; do not turn from it to the right or to the left, that you may be successful wherever you go.

Inspiration

As I was sitting here working on my other blog a thought came to me why not put together a sort of inspirational thought of the day. We all are going through things in this budget minded economy. We are in a time when the people of this nation need to pull together despite our differences and find common ground. Most of all I would like to inspire you to be the best you, you can be and if we each do our part the hope in our nation will return again.

I named this blog after my one great inspiration which is my heavenly father because without him I am nothing but through him all things are possible.

Quote of the Day~
Our deepest fears is not that we inadequate. Our deepest fear is that we are powerful beyond measure. It is our light, not our darkness that most frighten us. Your playing small does not serve the world. There is nothing enlightening about shrinking so that others do not feel insecure around you. We are all meant to shine as children do. It's not just in some of us; it's in everyone. And as we let our own light shine, we unconsciously give other people permission to do the same. We are liberated from our own fear, our presence automaticly liberates others.

Bible Quote of the Day~

Matthew 11:30
"For my yoke is easy and my burden is light"
